Healthy Homemade Popsicles – 2 ways!

No added sugar!

We are always looking for new, healthy snack options around here.  The other day my boys were begging for popsicles.  I try my best not to give them foods with added sugars and food dyes, because Lord know they do NOT need any extra crazy energy.  For that reason, I decided to make some myself.  My goals were 1. EASY 2. HEALTHY 3. YUMMY.   Luckily, these did the trick!  Here is the ridiculously easy step by step:

Coconut water fruit popsicles:

What you need: fruit, coconut water, popsicle molds
1. Cut up any fruit that you have on hand.  (I used peaches, blackberries, and strawberries.)
2. Spoon the cut up fruit into the popsicle molds.
3. Fill with coconut water.
4. Freeze.

Mixed berry popsicles:

What you need: Frozen mixed berries, applesauce (with no added sugar), popsicle molds
1. Blend frozen mixed berrie and applesauce together using a blender
2. Pour into popsicle molds.
3. Freeze.

I made 8 of these yesterday and they are gone….so I guess you can say my boys liked them!

Next time, I think I’ll try sneaking in some veggies.  I think cucumber would go well in the Coconut Water Popsicles, and spinach or kale in the Mixed Berries Popsicles!
